Why Business Owners Should Recognize Their Leadership Status

Hello, and welcome to The Traveling Introvert. Today, I wanna talk about the fact that I have a lot of business owners come to me and not realize that they're in senior leadership. They will say, oh, I see a lot of your work. I see a lot of your posts, but I don't think they really apply to me because I'm not in senior leadership, and I I'm I don't have a career. And I just kinda wanna dispel that myth because if you are a business owner or an entrepreneur, you are a senior leader. You see, you are the person that has the strategic vision. You have all the decision making aspects of being a leader. You are that one person that does all of those things.

So, of course, you are in senior leadership. You are head of marketing. You are head of sales. You are head of customer fulfillment service. You are that senior leadership team. It might be you and maybe a couple others. You might even have a team. So you, of course, are the leader of that team.

You have so much influence and impact because it is your own business that you cannot be called anything but a senior leader. You are in leadership. You have so much impact on everything that happens within your organization. Be it a The person organization or a 50 person organization, and the communities that you touch with the work that you do. There are so many strategic decisions made by business owners and entrepreneurs that help shape the direction and culture of the organization. Doesn't matter if it's an organization of 1. You do that strategic thinking and decision making. And so how this applies and why so many people think they are not in leadership goes to affect the way that they do business and The the way that they think about the different facets and aspects of their business.

If you, as an entrepreneur, don't feel that you are have a vision and that you have a north star and what it is that you want to do with your business and vision, It doesn't mean you're not a leader. It just means you don't yet have clarity of what it is that you want to do. You don't yet have clarity on the direction you wanna go and how you wanna go The. And you can get that clarity from many different ways. You can get it from talking to peers, talking to people within different organizations that are different or or similar to yours. You can get it from coaches. You can get it from mentors. You can get it from listening to podcasts, reading books.

There's so many different Traveling. There's so many different ways that you can get that. But that doesn't mean that you are not a leader. If you are a solopreneur because a lot of people equate being a leader to being a leader of people. And therefore having a team. Just because you might not have a team in the traditional sense of the word The does not mean you are not a leader. People look up to you. People buy your products.

People engage with you and your expertise. You are leading them to better processes. You are leading them to better business decisions. You are leading them to whatever it is that you are an expert in. You would not have started your business if you did not have faith in yourself that you were an expert in x y or z. You are a leader. So when you see things about leadership and leadership courses and leadership this and leadership that, don't think it doesn't apply to you as a entrepreneur or a business owner. Embrace the fact that, yes, you are a leader people look up to you, you inspire people, you give people a vision of what you want the world to be probably a better place because of whatever it is that you do so take that and run with it and go with the confidence that a leader has and shows.

Also The humbleness, ask questions, be curious, but don't just assume that because something says leader that that doesn't apply to you And that's my thought for today.
